Wisma Putra advises Malaysians to avoid unnecessary travel to Bangladesh on election day

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 5 — Malaysians are advised to avoid unnecessary travel to Bangladesh during the general election period on January 7, 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra) announced.

In a statement today, the ministry called on Malaysians residing in Bangladesh to remain vigilant and avoid any political gatherings.

The ministry, through the Malaysian High Commission in Dhaka, is closely monitoring developments in Bangladesh regarding the 12th general elections, the statement said.
