Santan, a prominent provider of in-flight services, announces ‘The Next Big Thing’, a pioneering program to highlight Malaysia’s best local brands and enhance the travel experience for AirAsia and AirAsia X passengers I’m happy to be able to do this.

Featured in the latest in-flight magazine on Santan’s AirAsia flights, the initiative spotlights noteworthy Malaysian companies, from traditional craftsmanship to innovative startups. Travelers can explore and support these impressive local businesses while enjoying their air travel.

The famous local brands available for purchase on all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights from December 15, 2023 include:

Jupiterian: Respected designer Dato’ Jovian Mandagi has partnered exclusively with AirAsia to showcase unique fashion items onboard, including fashionable hijabs, versatile shopping bags and luxury perfumes.

Petit Moi: The brand specializes in creating high-quality clothing that is fun for both children and adults, combining timeless design with affordable luxury.

Gigi: An innovative oral care brand offering 100% vegan and cruelty-free products made with natural ingredients for superior dental health.

Mr. Chuck: The Malaysian cosmetics brand is highly acclaimed for its award-winning Korean-made skin care products that appeal to beauty enthusiasts.

Street Poe: A social venture at the forefront of the pet humanization movement, helping homeless animals and pets by selling pet food. 20% of profits are donated to shelters, providing sustainable support for the fight against stray dogs.

Legendary Malaysia: The brand captures the essence of Malaysian culture and tradition in its globally popular fragrances.

JYNN Malaysia: A renowned health and wellness brand that focuses on Malaysian superfoods and caters to global health and well-being.

Zusu Coffee: Transforming coffee culture by making specialty coffee available to everyone.

Adding to this impressive list, Santan introduces Penang Teochew Cendul, a quintessential Malaysian delicacy and the nation’s famous dessert. Partnering with Penang Cendul, a historic brand that was founded on Penang Road in 1936, this collaboration pays homage to its rich heritage and offers passengers a menu that reflects authentic flavors and heritage. This special iced dessert costs just RM10 and is available on all AirAsia (AK) flights.

These products from featured brands are available on all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights until March 2024, subject to availability.
