PH junior tennis team competes in Tilt in Malaysia

MANILA – The Philippine National Unified Tennis Team will send junior teams to two tournaments in Malaysia starting in late November.

The Filipino players will compete in the 38th Penang Open International Junior Tennis Championship from November 29 to December 3 and the Perlis Milo International Junior Tennis Championship from December 4 to 8.

“We are all excited to be able to send our UTP athletes up against tough and challenging opponents from across Asia,” said UTP President Jean-Henri Lhuillier.

“I hope this will be a stepping stone for them to pursue greatness and excellence in the field of tennis,” he added.

UTP will be sending a roster of 16 players to Malaysia, who finished in the top two in their respective age group divisions at the UTP Elite Eight National Championship held in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental earlier this year. It is made up of players.

The boys’ division teams are Almique Cerillo and Alexandre Coiuto (12 and under), Lexius Cruz and Kenzo Brodes (14 and under), Ken Bona and MacLean Gomera (16 and under), Mateo Rivas and Vince Serna (18 and under) parades.

Meanwhile, Ma appears in the women’s category. Carolian Fier and Maristela Torrecampo (12 and under), Jayden Reese Ballard and Yana Elena Diaz (14 and under), Kimi Brodes and Maria Hannah Divinagracia (16 and under), Kay Ann -Emana and Micah Ella Emana (under 18 years old). –Report from Marlon Bernardino.
