12-year-old girl sent to Tunas Bhakti School on suspicion of theft

Kuching: 12-year-old girl ordered to attend by Magistrates Court Tunas Bhakti School In February last year, he was sentenced to three years in prison in Miri for possessing stolen Honda motorcycles.

Meanwhile, her 14-year-old friend was ordered to complete a one-year good behavior bond for the same offence.

Judge Zubaydah Sharkawi issued the verdict today (March 28) after hearing a moral report on both defendants from the Ministry of Social Welfare (JKM).

The two children involved pleaded guilty to the crime under Article 411 of the Penal Code, which was read with Article 34 of the same law.

According to the charges, the two were jointly in possession of stolen items from a 57-year-old man’s Honda motorcycle at around 10am on February 4 in Jalan Bandar Baru Samaritan.

According to the facts of the case, the complainant reported to the police that his motorcycle, which was parked in front of his house, had been stolen.

Later, around 8:30pm, police succeeded in arresting both suspects from Jalan Bandar Baru Samariang using what they believed to be a stolen motorcycle.

Upon investigation, it was determined that both suspects were in possession of stolen property, namely a motorcycle. The motorcycle was confirmed to belong to the victim based on the engine chassis number and other information.

The case was prosecuted by prosecutor Nur Syafika Nyaie Ilin, but the defendant was not represented by a lawyer.
