Fatal accident in Sri Aman claims the life of an 11-year-old boy

Sri Aman: An 11-year-old boy tragically lost his life and three others, including a boy, were seriously injured in a road accident along Sri Aman Serian Road yesterday (April 6).

The accident occurred at 5:30 p.m. when the Perodua Viva, carrying six people, skidded and crashed onto the side of the road. Two of them were able to escape the collision with minor injuries.

A spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Sri Aman station were called to the scene after receiving a distress call.

After evaluation by paramedics, the 11-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was handed over to police for further processing.

Meanwhile, the man, woman and boy, all with serious injuries, were taken to Sri Aman Hospital in two ambulances for emergency treatment.

Teams provided only preliminary treatment to the remaining two victims with minor injuries at the scene.

The two were then taken to hospital for further treatment.
