Kiev says the aid is essential in fighting the Russian invader, but the Kremlin says it will prolong the war.

After months of political wrangling, the U.S. House of Representatives has agreed to a $60 billion aid package for Ukraine.

More than a third will take up arms and fight against the Russian army.

Will this help end the war? Or will the fighting and bloodshed just drag on?
