Ant International creates over 500 jobs at new Malaysia center

Digital payments and financial technology provider Ant International has announced plans to open a new digital business center in Malaysia by 2025.

The facility is located at Exchange 106 in the financial and business center of Tun Razak Exchange and aims to create more than 500 job opportunities within the first year.

The majority of new roles will be in technology-focused roles, particularly within the technology development department. The role will extend to the data science and risk management teams, as well as the product and design teams.

The company plans to invest in developing local technical talent through comprehensive training, mentorship and exposure to global operations.

Ant International, part of Ant Group and originally known for its Alipay service, is a major player in the global digital payments industry.

The company’s services include facilitating cross-border mobile payments, merchant payment solutions in Asia, and providing digital financial services for small and medium-sized enterprises through its WorldFirst and ANEXT Bank platforms.

Since establishing its presence in Malaysia in 2014, Ant International has worked with local partners to foster a robust fintech ecosystem.

This initiative includes a partnership with TNG Digital and participation in community programs aimed at strengthening local digital capacity and supporting small and medium-sized businesses in their digital transformation efforts.
