Baby born by emergency caesarean section after mother killed in Gaza

Doctors performed an emergency Caesarean section and rescued a premature baby after an Israeli airstrike hit the city of Rafah on Saturday night.

The baby’s mother, Sabreen, was unable to save her life and died along with the baby’s father and sister.

Doctors said the baby was born with breathing difficulties and is expected to be hospitalized for up to a month.

The Palestinian Health Authority said 19 people, most of them children, were killed in strikes in the city that night.

The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) issued the following statement: “At the given time, the IDF attacked several military targets of terrorist organizations in Gaza, including military facilities, launch pads, and armed terrorists.”
