The Shiba Inu team on Monday raised $12 million to invest in its next layer 3 blockchain. The stake comes in the form of new Treat Tokens. VCs that provided $12 million include Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, DWF Ventures, and Spirit Dao.

The Treat blockchain will also feature Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), which enhances the privacy of network transactions.

“Through the involvement of these venture capital firms and their strategic partners, we are not only expanding our network of trusted partners, but also exponentially increasing what Shiba Inu can truly do for our communities.” said the lead developer under the pseudonym Shiba Inu. Terutoshi Kusama.

When will Shiba Inu treat tokens be released?

The Shiba Inu Treat Token has been officially confirmed to be in development with the latest funding of $12 million. Treat will be a layer 3 blockchain utility and governance token. It is also the last non-stable token in the broader SHIB ecosystem. Therefore, the ecosystem consists of the tokens SHIB, Bone, Leash, and Treat. The SHI stablecoin has not yet been released, but it will be pegged to the US dollar.
