Study abroad in Malaysia: Education fair begins

Sponsored by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education’s Malaysian Global Services (EMGS), the four-day education fair “Study in Malaysia” will begin in three cities across the country.

Md Tazul Islam, Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, inaugurated the event at Hotel Sheraton in Dhaka, saying that Malaysia is an inclusive environment for all religions and cultures and is attractive to Bangladeshi students. He emphasized that it is a unique destination.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, he highlighted the global opportunities available and encouraged students to strive for excellence. Arif Saeed, a local event organizer, pointed out that Malaysia’s appeal to Bangladeshi students lies in its diverse educational content.

The fair will be held at Banani Sheraton in Dhaka on April 26 and 27, The Peninsula in Chittagong on April 29 and Roseview Hotel in Sylhet from 10 am to 6 pm on May 1. We offer students and parents the opportunity to explore Malaysian universities and research institutes first-hand. Representatives from 11 Malaysian universities and hospital groups will provide information and facilitate applications for interested students. Bangladesh and Malaysia continue to strengthen their educational ties, with more than 19,000 Bangladeshi students applying to study in Malaysia from 2019 to 2023. This surge in applicants shows Malaysia’s growing popularity as a higher education destination among Bangladeshi students.
