Libya seeks technology and Islamic banking knowledge, delegation visits Malaysia

Delegations from the Libyan High Council of State and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Government of National Unity explored opportunities to learn from Malaysia’s expertise in communications technology, information and Islamic banking.

The delegation, led by Omar Al Obaidi, Second Vice-Chairman of the Council of State, included key council members and Saleh Al Ghoul, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in Kuala Lumpur in March 2019. visited the Ministry of Higher Education. Invited by the Malaysian government.

During the visit, the delegation met with Malaysia’s Higher Education Minister Zamburi Abdul Kadir and other officials to discuss scientific research cooperation leveraging Malaysia’s advances in various fields.

It also focused on supporting Libyan students in Malaysia, streamlining postgraduate admissions procedures and facilitating housing arrangements for Libyans living in Malaysia.
