Trade between Cambodia and Malaysia will increase by 23% year-on-year to $620 million in 2022
Last year, the merchandise trade between Cambodia and Malaysia was worth $620,373,000, an increase of 23.33% year-on-year (YoY). Cambodia’s imports and exports to Malaysia were $111,853,000 and $585,200,000, respectively, an increase of 10.40% and 26.60% from the previous year, and the trade deficit with Malaysia expanded by 32.06% to $396,667,000. .

According to the General Department of Customs, Cambodia’s exports accounted for 18.03% of bilateral trade, a decrease of 2.11 percentage points on an annual basis.

According to Cambodian media reports, Malaysia will be Cambodia’s 16th largest trading partner for the third consecutive year in 2022, accounting for 1.18% of the global total of $52.425 billion, an increase of 0.14 percentage points from the previous year.
