Vietnam-Malaysia-India container route opens on November 25th
Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC) announced yesterday that it will open a container shipping route connecting Vietnam, Malaysia and India on November 25th. According to company representatives, the route is expected to ease pressure on freight transport, stabilize the supply of transport services and support domestic businesses.

The Hai Phong-Klang Port-Kolkata-Klang Port-SP-ITC route connects the ports of Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong with India’s largest port, saving more than 10 days of transit time.

On October 26, Vietnam’s first container ship passed through the Straits of Malacca, carrying goods to Malaysia and India, Vietnam’s two major import and export markets.
