Israel-Gaza war: ‘Children cling to me as dogs raid Rafah’s grave near shelter’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military operation in Rafah would take place “with or without” a ceasefire and would eliminate the four Hamas battalions in the city. Hamas insists there can be no deal without a promise to end the war for good. Far-right members of Israel’s coalition cabinet have warned Netanyahu not to compromise. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, a standard-bearer for the settler movement, said there could be no “half-hearted work” and called for the “absolute destruction” of Rafah.
