Aeon Bank partners with Visa to offer Shariah-compliant digital payments

Aeon Bank has entered into a strategic partnership with Visa to enhance the digital payments and cashless transaction experience for Malaysian consumers.

This collaboration will begin with the introduction of AEON Bank x Visa Debit Card-i, and plans to expand to various digital payment solutions in the future.

The partnership aims to meet Malaysian consumers’ growing demand for safe and reliable cashless and digital banking services that comply with Islamic legal principles.

Combining Visa’s global expertise in digital payments with Aeon Group’s extensive retail and financial network, this partnership aims to provide comprehensive and seamless digital payment solutions across various channels.

To commemorate this, we will be giving away limited-time benefits and membership bonuses to those who use the AEON Bank x Visa Debit Card-i.

Aeon Bank is a long-standing member of the Aeon Group, serving Malaysian households for over 40 years and has an extensive history in Japan spanning over 200 years.

As one of the five entities granted a digital banking license in Malaysia, Aeon Bank is gearing up to officially launch its Islamic banking app for individual users this quarter.

Potential users can register their interest through Aeon Bank’s mobile banking app available at: Google Play Store and iOS app store.

Aeon Bank also plans to roll out services for this business in 2025.
