Saudi Arabia and Malaysia discuss trade and economic partnership in priority sectors

During his recent visit to Malaysia, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi He met with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in the capital, Kuala Lumpur. Discussions at the meeting focused on strengthening cooperation, implementing joint government programs and exploring partnership opportunities in priority areas.

The visit was aimed at promoting bilateral trade in goods and services, strengthening economic partnerships and launching the Saudi-Malaysia Business Council.

During the meeting, Mr. Al Qasabi and Mr. Ibrahim discussed cooperation in promoting business in the two countries, boosting exports, strengthening the ability of Saudi and Malaysian companies to access global markets, and building capacity in innovation, emerging technologies and research. Additionally, Al Qasabi and Ibrahim participated in the launch event of the Saudi Malaysian Business Council. Dr. Al Qasabi emphasized that Saudi Vision 2030 has brought about transformation in the Saudi economy.
