This will help Malaysia achieve its 2035 green energy target.

Malaysia’s Solarvest has announced a partnership with Taiwanese renewable energy company Greenrock Energy to develop 1 gigawatt of renewable energy projects in both countries over the next five years.

In a statement, Solarvest said the partnership will enable Greenrock Energy to build on its strengths in the Malaysian and Southeast Asian markets and further its regional expansion.

This will also promote the region’s energy transformation and sustainable development, he added.

Solarvest said the development marks the entry of a Taiwanese company into Malaysia’s renewable energy market.

“Greenrock Energy recognises Malaysia’s potential and is in line with the government’s target of achieving 40% green energy by 2035. To ensure a competitive market advantage, Greenrock Energy has become the first Taiwanese company to join the Malaysian government’s green energy project,” Solarvest said.
