Malaysia’s Petronas adds three new LNG carriers ahead of LNG Canada start-up

Malaysia’s state-owned energy company Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) said on Monday Said to add three Energy efficiency Supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers to North American facilities.

The addition of the vessel brings Petronas’ North American fleet to six in total and comes ahead of the start-up of LNG Canada.Gas exports facility To be announced later this year, the company said in a statement.

Petronas owns a 25% stake in LNG Canada. Factory in Kitimat, British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada.

The vessels were built at Hyundai Heavy Industries’ (HHI) shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea, and will each have a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, making them the largest in Petronas’ fleet, the company said.
