Divjot wins title at USKG Malaysia Championship, Arshwand takes 2nd place – Republic World

Divjot Gupta had his best day of the week as he claimed top honors in the boys (under 8) category at the US Kids Malaysia Championships, making three birdies in the closing stages.

Divijot, a prolific winner on the Indian circuit, had rounds of 40 wins, 37 losses, and 36 losses for a total of 5 over 117. He won by six strokes over Indonesia’s Michael Clifton Roomy, who struggled with a 5-over 41 on the final day.

Another Indian golfer in this category, Ruslan Alam Khan, came third.

India’s Arshwanth Srivastava came second in the boys’ 13-14 age category.

Alschwand, who was in the lead after the first and second rounds, made a late bogey with a 77 in the third and final round, and was one stroke ahead of South Korea’s Kang Gun, who contributed to the title with a final round of 73. I finished with a difference.

Sohan Har Kantor (79) was 7th and Ved Sai Machiraj (81) was T-14 in this category.

In the boys (10 and under) category, Jot Sarp Gupta (87) finished fourth, followed by China’s Aolan Zhang, who scored a 74 in the final round.

Kriti Parekh, the only Indian woman to compete in the tournament, struggled on the back nine with a round of 82 and finished fourth in the women’s 13-14 division.

The three-day event awarded WAGR points and priority points for entry into the U.S. Kids World Championships and European Championships later this year.

A total of 106 junior golfers from 16 countries competed in the three-day tournament, including 37 players from Malaysia.
