Malaysian government may resume search for MH370 until new evidence is found, government ministry announced

Malaysia said it would resume the search if there was “credible evidence”.

“The Malaysian government’s position remains consistent,” officials said in a statement. “We will request further search operations once new information and reliable evidence is identified.”

The plane disappeared after taking off from Kuala Lumpur on March 8, 2014. There were 12 crew members and 227 passengers on board the plane when it went missing.

Malaysia’s Transport Ministry said on Sunday that it had been approached by Texas-based Ocean Infinity about restarting the search. It was not immediately clear what new information Ocean Infinity had about the missing plane.

The ministry said in a statement that Malaysia would resume the search “if new information and reliable evidence is identified”.

”[T]”The Ministry of Transport is ready to invite Ocean Infinity to Malaysia to discuss a fine/fee free proposal,” it said in a statement. I’m going to meet with them.” Whenever they are ready to come to Malaysia. ”
