KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) — Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) plans to introduce new products and services in Malaysia this year that are specifically designed to meet the evolving needs of its customers. Director Connie Kulture said.
The main focus is on protecting customers from unexpected weather and climate change impacts.
“In the Malaysian market, we have seen climate issues have a significant impact on the well-being of local customers, such as the 2021 floods that affected 11 states across the country.
“During this period, the insurance and takaful industry covered 36% of the overall losses, totaling RM2.2 billion,” she told Bernama.
Kulture said the company previously used the Zurich Flood Truck to provide Zurich Flood Relief Kits to flood-affected insureds to provide assistance and settle claims of up to RM30,000 on the spot. He said he did.
Additionally, she noted that approximately 37 percent of registered claims were quickly resolved within five business days, relieving customers of the situation.
Mr Kulture emphasized that Zurich Malaysia is consistently evolving to meet the needs of its customers, including health, property protection and the safety of loved ones.
“Malaysia is a great example of how we are able to comprehensively serve customers from all walks of life through our unique market position as the only global brand with all four insurance and takaful licenses.” she stated.
He said Zurich has built a global customer intelligence platform that can provide every customer with customized offers and recommendations based on their needs.
